The annual recruitment exercise is required for replacing the soldiers who lost their lives in the war against terrorism.
Gen. Laleye revealed that the Army would also commission the applicants through the Direct Short Service Commission and the Short Service Commission.
He further emphasised that qualified able-bodied Nigerians, both men and women, have a great chance of
serving their country by applying through the short service schemes.
It would be recalled that President Jonathan has requested the National Assembly to approve prolongation of the state of emergency rule in the three troubled North-eastern states. The presidency has also put a green light on increased Army and security services recruitment, where necessary.
