NPF recruitment: Police say most of the 800,000 applicants have been disqualified

Most of the people who applied for the Nigerian police recruitment exercise have been disqualified for reasons that they did not meet the recruitment requirements.

The Inspector General of Police Mr. Solomon Arase, made it known that out of the 843, 000 people who applied for the police recruitment, majority of them has been disqualified because they are above the required age limit.

It can be curled from the Nigerian police recruitment requirement that the age limit required to apply for the recruitment is 28 years but the inspector said that most of the people who applied are between the age of 30 and 34 and the inspector said that they are too old to be recruited into the Nigerian police and made it known that computer will kick out their applications.

He also made mention of educational qualification; that those who did not meet the required educational qualification will not be accepted.

Most people doesn’t read guidelines very well before applying for anything they wants to because I know that both age and academic requirements are mentioned in the Nigerian police recruitment guidelines and some webmasters tried to give guidelines on how to be successful but some people will do their mind. Imagine seeing 28 years as age limit and people are put 30 and some 34 years, what do you expect to happen in a competitive recruitment like this.

We are made to know that only 10, 000 will be employed in the Nigerian police recruitment but almost 800,000 have applied. In this situation, there will be a massive disqualification which will be from those who did not meet the requirements.

As the recruitment is expected to close on May 13, the IG also disclosed that the events that would culminate in the recruitment of successful candidates would begin next month.

He further said that the training of successful candidates would be in to the six geo-political zones.
