We Are Not Terrorists But Fighting To Leave Nigeria, N-Delta Militants Reply Northern Politician
The Niger Delta militants, yesterday, blasted Second Republic lawmaker and Northern politician, Dr Junaid Mohammed, for asking President Muhammadu Buhari to treat them as terrorists, saying that they were agitators and not terrorists like Boko Haram insurgents.
Spokesperson of one of the militant groups, Niger Delta Sea Commandos, NDSC, self-styled Major Osama Blatter, also denied claims that politicians were funding Niger Delta militants.
“We commend Junaid for remembering that Boko Haram is a terrorist group, but we want to unequivocally tell the ethnic bigot that we are just agitators and not terrorists. Our activities and Boko
Haram cannot be compared.
“We are not deterred by the call by Junaid Mohammed because such calls will only facilitate the crumbling of Nigeria, which is what we are after. Junaid should be informed that we never begged to be appeased by Hausa/Fulani President, Muhammadu Buhari. We are only fighting to leave Nigeria, which has enslaved and exploited us for too long. We are not sponsored by any politician, but it a civic duty required of us to liberate us people from slavery.”
