Shiites Knocks El-rufai Over Conditions On El-zakzaky Medical Leave
THE proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN, popularly known as Shiites has turn down Kaduna state government’s conditions to release Sheik Ibraheem El-zakzaky for treatment in India, described it as a desperate move by Nasir El-Rufai to assassinate the Sheikh in detention.
The IMN Academic Forum, make the decleration in a press statement signed by its General Secretary Abdullahi Musa and make available to HAPPENINGS NG on Thurdsay.
Recall that HAPPENINGS NG reported that, a court that sat in Kaduna state ordered that the couple be under the custody of Security agent should go for treatment which DSS has issued a statement of compliance to the order.
Musa divuled that the Kaduna state governor, El-Rufai, has at first objected the application filed by El-Zakzaky and his wife, seeking court order to travel out of Nigeria for treatment in India.
The group said, “If he had failed to put a stop to the court ruling, at present el-Rufai is desperately determined to achieve what he couldn’t beforehand”.
In his word, Musa said, “For the avoidance of doubt, the terms and conditions proposed by the state are neither from the court nor from the DSS. We therefore urge all people of conscience to protest against this desperate move to frustrate the already ordered medical leave.
“Moreover, after the court ruling, reliable information within the circle of the Executive arm of the government in Kaduna State disclosed its reluctance to obey the court order. Later on, a piece of news item from the Punch Newspaper revealed that el-Rufai would appeal the court ruling. In a nutshell, Kaduna State just wants to disobey the order of a court of competent jurisdiction.
“We want to state categorically that whatever happened to our leader Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his wife, Kaduna State Government in particular, and federal government in general, should be held responsible. The health of the couple is fast deteriorating, seriously.
“Thus, from el-Rufai to Samuel Aruwan, the executives of Kaduna State Government are huge cogs in this machine of tyranny, oppression and mortal persecutions.
Musa recalled, last month, Garba Shehu said “let Court decide” on the medical leave of Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife. Now the court has decided, effort should be made to urgently facilitate the medical leave as it ordered. Unless the presidency has extended its hand in flouting the court order again, now is the time to call el-Rufai to order.
“We are determined to continue with our struggle and protests, demanding for unconditional release of our leader Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his wife Zeenah Ibraheem.” Musa Added.
