Throwback To What Nigerian Born UK Minister For Families Said About Nigeria

As all eyes beam on 39-year-old Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke Badenoch, the only woman of African Origin appointed into the Cabinet of British new PM Boris Johnson is  the UK's Minister for Children & Families.

NB: The MP for Saffron Walden made her maiden speech in the House of Commons on 19th July 2017

She has raised the argument that a Nigerian Woman in the UK may stand a better chance of becoming their Prime Minister than becoming Governor or President in Nigeria.

In this one minute trending clip cropped off Kemi Badenoch’s maiden speech in the Commons,

"as it affects Nigeria" she said

"Growing up in Nigeria, i saw real poverty, I experienced it, living without electricity, doing my homework by candle light because the state electricity board couldn't provide power, fetching water from borehole a mile away in heavy rusty buckets, because the the national **** couldn't get water out of the taps, listen to complete emotional and inspiring speech on video

Meanwhile, there's also a debate on not toeing an infamous path as Ms Fiona Onasanya, the former MP Peterbrough who together with her brother lied to the police on driving offence which landed the brother in prison and she eventually lost the by election in her constituency and of course her status as MP and struck off as solicitor too
