Lagos State Government gives 2 weeks ultimatum to illegal occupants of old Jankara Market
The Lagos State government has given two weeks final ultimatum to the unlawful tenants of the old Jankara market, reserved for modern development in accordance with the arrangement to regenerate the Lagos Island.
The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako gave the final offer during the evaluation journey through Lagos Island on Monday.
He clarified that the Ministry of Physical Planning had served all tenants notification to leave the area as the administration reestablishment plan for Lagos Island was going to initiate.
Salako, reiteraited that the freeing from the market was in concurrence with the T.H.E.M.E.S. motivation of the State Government organization of making Lagos clean and for an all out redevelopment of Lagos Island.
The Commissioner said that the redevelopment of the zone would introduce foundation reestablishment, including that the individuals ought to anticipate current wellbeing, recreational and street framework among others
He asked the illicit machanics, traders and tenants of unlawful settlement on Adeniji Adele road to vacate before Friday, while sealing illegal structures in the zone.
