The Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the late military dictator, General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha has warned that every Nigerian has everything to lose if Nigeria is allowed to disintegrate, saying that the right thing for the citizens of the country is to foster ties of unity and peace in the land.

This is even as Al-Mustapha said that he was not the person being projected in the newspapers in the past 15 years, saying that he has always upheld anything that is good for the country and capable of laying a good foundation for the youth and generations yet unborn.
Speaking with journalists in Bauchi, Friday evening, after addressing youths from across the state under the aegis of Al-Mustapha Peace, Unity and Development Initiatives (APUDI), he declared that he was against anything that would dismember Nigeria, calling on Nigerians to learn from what was happening in some African countries, including Sudan, Central African Republic (CAR), Congo and Egypt, with a view to preventing the country from being fragmented.
According to him, “personally, I am against anything that will dismember Nigeria. We have everything
to lose if we allow this country to breakup or fragmented. United we stand. If you look at the genesis of the situations that brought this country to where we are, I don’t think one should be seen to be supporting anything that will foment trouble or crisis in this land.
Al-Mustapha, who was regarded as a demigod during the reign of Abacha, declared that he was not the devil projected in the newspapers in the past 15 years, submitting that it was those who singled him out for persecution that portrayed him as an evil man.
Meanwhile, Al-Mustapha has declared that his current peace mission across the country has no political undertone, submitting that he has no interest in contesting for any elective post in the 2015 general election, as he is not a card-carrying member of any political party.
He stated that the peace mission was aimed at having a peaceful and united country, where the youth would realize their potentialities for the greatness of the country.
