The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, on Friday said that the new smaller denomination notes that will come in paper form would be in circulation before December.
Mr Tunde Lemo, Deputy Governor, Operations, said this while briefing newsmen on the sideline of the ongoing Annual meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
The smaller notes are N5, N10, N20 and N50 notes.
“The smaller denomination notes are being supplied by the printers and before December, you will no longer see tattered notes all over. “As I said, I have apologised to Nigerians that the reason we had old notes that are still in circulation was because of the issues around Project Cure.

A 42-year-old housewife, Omolabake Bashorun, shocked an Igando Customary

Omolabake, a mother of two, disclosed this while begging the court to

The wife said with the way things are going, she may not live long... “Since the day I caught my husband in our neighbour’s

the door of our neighbour’s bedroom, when I went there to pick my purse
that I forgot in the woman's room earlier that day.

Mark Zuckerberg just made an unusual purchase. Well, four purchases.
Facebook's
billionaire founder bought four homes surrounding his current home near
Palo Alto, Mercury News reports. The houses cost him more than $30
million, including one 2,600 square-foot home that cost $14 million.
(His own home is twice as large at 5,000 square-feet and cost half as
much.)
Larry Page made a similar move a few years ago so he could
build a massive, 6,000-square-foot mansion. But Zuckerberg's reason is
different. He doesn't want to live in excess, he just wants a little
privacy.
Zuckerberg reportedly took action after he learned that a
developer wanted to purchase one of his neighbor's homes and use the
fact that Zuckerberg lived close by as a marketing tactic. He started
purchasing the homes last December. Zuckerberg will lease the four homes

Excerpts from Nigerian Tribune What are your views on nudity?
We were born naked, then we realised that we were naked. In some
villages around the world, nudity is normal; in a religious society,
nudity of any kind is a sin. So, nudity is a personal preference and
sometimes a Godly calling. I believe there’s nothing wrong with nudity.
It’s the evil and sinful thoughts that people think that need to be

Nigerian national team arrived in Addis Ababa on Saturday morning for
Sunday’s 2014 World Cup qualifying first leg play-off match against
Ethiopia. Their chartered Ethiopian Airlines plane touched down

included government officials, members of the Nigeria Football

Players of the
national team were warmly received by locals at the airport as they made
their way to the team bus and onwards to their hotel. There were
chants of ‘Moses’ and ‘Mikel’ from among the pack of locals that
welcomed them at the airport as they sought for photographs with the
Nigerian stars.
The Nigerian supporters’ delegation also filled
the air with jolly good Nigerian music as they announced their arrival
for the crucial World Cup qualifier. The 100 supporters from Nigeria will do battle against a partisan home crowd expected to be 40,000 in the National Stadium.

If you want to know why many people love Governor Amaechi, this is it:
Fellow Nigerians, how was your week? I spent three full nights and half a
day of mine exploring thelegendary Garden City, otherwise known as Port
Harcourt in real name. The last time I had such an opportunity was ten
years ago, when Dr Peter Odili was still Governor and Rotimi Chibuike
Amaechi was the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly. A lot of
water has since passed under the bridge and the baton of power has
changed in a most dramatic fashion.
I’m quite familiar with Port Harcourt which like most cities in Nigeria
lost its old glory, glamour and colour to the vagaries and vicissitudes
of power in the hands of our politicians. The battle for the jugular of
the oil-rich state has culminated in the cataclysmic collapse of its
original glint and attraction.
While I will not apportion blame, I must say that it has become the
unenviable plight of most Governors in Nigeria today to carry the heavy
burden of our gross underdevelopment in every sphere of human existence.

I have a passion for movie production

other things relating to the arts, for instance other languages, martial
arts, singing and many more. So yes, I think singing would come in
handy for me as an actress at some point.
Would you say you are a better singer than an actress?
I can’t really say. In fact,I wouldn’t know.
We have seen actresses delving into music, is such in your future plans?
It is not a Plan B per se. It is just an area I think I might want to explore.
If you were to choose a male Nigerian singer to do collaboration with, who would you choose?
I certainly would choose M.I and it is

The Federal government revealed on Friday why it implemented

Speaking in defence of the Federal government directive, the NUC, spokesman said the commission was only applying extant laws.
Also
speaking on the matter, the Deputy Director of Information and Public

country that if you don’t work you will not get paid. But the
government was magnanimous enough to pay their salaries for a month or
two when they started the strike. After everything that has been done,
(the lecturers) don’t want to go back to work; so, the law must be
applied.
“Let’s watch and see how far they can go with this

“Jonathan has betrayed the goodwill of the Yoruba. The man doesn’t
seem to have a clue about anything. First, he has no clue about
governance- it appears as if he does not even have any slightest idea of
what he wants to do. He never thought of becoming President and what he
would do as President. He was just talking of transformation and I
don’t even think he knows the meaning of transformation. The man is just
being pushed around everywhere and to anywhere. The only thing he
understands is that he wants to make money and he is making a lot of it.
And because he wants to make money, he cannot tell people not to make
money when they are making their own. So a lot of people around him are

The attempt by the new faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
under the leadership of Abubakar Kawu Baraje to seek official

The “New PDP’ received a major blow after its attempts to be heralded

Wanting
so badly to get hooked is something many people seem to take far too

most of the time it falls like a park of cards, because as people are
rushing to get in, people are rushing to get out, at an alarming rate.
